FIELD: water treatment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to wastewater treatment. Device consists of a drive unit, truss, guide rails, at least one carriage, at least one suspension, and at least one scraper attached to it. Suspension is made with a swivel to the truss and with the possibility of suspension rotation around the horizontal axis. Mentioned drive unit, truss, swivel, carriage and guide rails are located above the water surface and below the upper edge of the side of the sand catcher.
EFFECT: performance of the sand trap is improved by reducing the abrasive wear of the moving parts of the scraper mechanism while ensuring the possibility of overlapping the sand catcher to prevent contact of the fluid being cleaned with ambient air.
