FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to self-cleaning composite material intended for production of molded parts of kitchen and bathroom interior. Self-cleaning composite material according to the invention contains from 50 to 85 wt% mineral fillers based on aluminum oxide trihydrate (ATH); from 10 to 30 % of a crosslinkable polymer containing a polyester resin; photocatalytic titanium dioxide (TiO2), dispersed in a crosslinkable polymer with weight percentage content of 0.05–5 % relative to weight of the crosslinkable polymer; agent for improving compatibility for binding between photocatalytic TiO2 and a cross-linkable polymer, said agent for improving TiO2 compatibility is a silane; and cross-linking monomers to provide cross-linking of the cross-linkable polymer through thermal or chemical polymerisation, as well as a method for production thereof.
EFFECT: said composition of self-cleaning composite material enables to obtain material which is easy to thermoform and process, and is also photocatalytic, environmentally friendly and non-toxic to humans and the environment.
