FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building, particularly, to spacecraft protection device. Device for protection of spacecraft from scattered particles from surface of irradiated object during irradiation with ion beam comprises flexible protective surface. Said surface is coiled on composite material rod with spring unfolding tapes at edges. Tapes are retained by locking mechanism, which is switched off by electric switch upon command from control unit at the moment of ion beam generation to exposure object. Flexible protective surface can be created by layers of film in form of pack, connected by pipeline with compressed gas cylinder through electric switch, controlled by command from control unit. Surface can be provided with at least one window to pass ion beam.
EFFECT: higher durability of spacecraft operation.
