FIELD: manufacturing technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to disc vacuum filters intended for separating liquid and solid phases of a suspension and can be used in ore dressing processes. Disk vacuum filter comprises filtration disk capable of rotating relative to horizontal axis and being partially submerged into bath with suspension. Filter disc is formed by a plurality of sector elements. Each sector element comprises two water-permeable side walls, which outer surfaces are located perpendicular to said horizontal axis. Between said side walls there is a cavity designed to create a vacuum therein. Disk vacuum filter is made with possibility to connect cavity of each sector element to the first vacuum source, when this sector element is in immersion state into bath with suspension, and with second vacuum source, when said sector element is located above bath with suspension. First vacuum source generates vacuum of the first value. Second vacuum source generates vacuum of the second value. Vacuum of second magnitude is greater than vacuum of first magnitude.
EFFECT: invention ensures increase in the amount of cake produced while ensuring the specified moisture content.
