FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to filters intended for separation of liquid and solid phases of suspension by means of ceramic filter elements, and can be used in ore dressing processes. Invention relates to a method of regenerating a ceramic filter element, in which a first composition is added to the pores of the filtering element walls for at least 8 hours, said composition being an aqueous solution of oxalic acid and alkali metal or ammonium thionate, wherein the ratio of the weight of oxalic acid and the weight of the alkali metal or ammonium thionate when the total weight of said components is 100 % is from 40:60 % to 60:40 %, and ratio of total weight of oxalic acid and thioncium alkali metal or ammonium and weight of water when taking mass of said aqueous solution in 100 % is from 5:95 % to 20:80 %, after which a second composition is introduced into the pores of the filtering element walls for not less than 8 hours, which is an aqueous solution of a disodium salt of ethylene diamine tetraacetic acid and sodium hydroxide, wherein the weight ratio of the disodium salt of ethylene diamine tetraacetic acid and the weight of sodium hydroxide when making the total weight of said components in 100 % is from 55:45 % to 80:20 %, and the ratio of total weight of the disodium salt of ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid and sodium hydroxide and the weight of water when the weight of the aqueous solution is taken as 100 % ranges from 1:99 % to 5:95 %. Invention also relates to a composition for regenerating a ceramic filter element for carrying out the above method, which is an aqueous solution of disodium salt of ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid and sodium hydroxide, wherein the weight ratio of the disodium salt of ethylene diamine tetraacetic acid and the weight of sodium hydroxide when making the total weight of said components in 100 % is from 55:45 % to 80:20 %, and the ratio of total weight of the disodium salt of ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid and sodium hydroxide and the weight of water when the weight of the aqueous solution is taken as 100 % ranges from 1:99 % to 5:95 %.
EFFECT: technical result consists in restoration of permeability of side walls of ceramic filter element to a level close to initial, and in extension of ceramic filtering element service life.
