FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of displaying current time and can be used in means of displaying current time. Method of displaying time, including application of sensor surface, in which each of at least part of its sections corresponds to certain hour and certain minute, as well as display of current hour for less than 10 seconds after registration of location of user's finger or stylus on section of said touch surface, corresponding to current hour, and display of current minute for less than 10 seconds after registration of location of user's finger or stylus on section of said sensor surface, corresponding to current minute, wherein the current hour is displayed by exposing the user to tactile action with the first set of parameters, and the current minute is displayed by exposing the user to tactile action with a second set of parameters, wherein said touch surface is a touch screen display of a pocket personal computer or smartphone or tablet computer, wherein said touch screen is a touch-sensitive display equipped with a dial with a clock-face function and tactile divisions, or a touch-sensitive display not provided with such a pad.

EFFECT: ensured by technical result is reduction of total weight of man-carried electric appliances.
