FIELD: engine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an oxidation catalyst for treating exhaust gases produced by a diesel engine, which includes a carrier and a catalytic layer comprising a first support carrier material, palladium and platinum. Catalytic layer is on the surface of the carrier and has a nonuniform distribution of palladium in a direction perpendicular to the surface of the carrier, so that the amount of palladium decreases perpendicular to the surface of the carrier. And where catalytic layer has or (a) homogeneous distribution of platinum in direction perpendicular to carrier surface, or (b) non-uniform distribution of platinum in direction, perpendicular to carrier surface, so that amount of platinum increases in direction perpendicular to carrier surface. Invention also relates to an exhaust system and to a vehicle comprising said catalyst.
EFFECT: technical result is excellent oxidative activity with respect to carbon monoxide (CO) and hydrocarbons (HC).
