FIELD: instrument engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to analytical instrument making and a method of natural gas (NG) gas analysis. In implementing the method, spectra of spontaneous Raman scattering of reference molecular gas components contained in the composition of NG are recorded once. Spectrum of spontaneous Raman scattering of the analyzed NG is then recorded and the contributions of the spectra of spontaneous Raman scattering of reference molecular gas components are calculated. Obtained results are normalized. Then, from the maximum methane strip position shift position, located near 2,917 cm-1, concentration of helium included in the composition of NG is determined. Concentrations of molecular components are determined based on calculated normalized results and obtained concentration of helium.

EFFECT: technical result is increase in the measurements accuracy.
