SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medical equipment, specifically to means of assisting patients in obtaining images of their own wound, stoma or portable plate. Method for capturing and storing in digital form images of a place selected from a wound region on a part of a patient's body, a skin area surrounding stoma, protruding from a patient's body part, a fistulous region on the patient's skin, and the wearable plate adhesive region stoma system comprises providing a pocket device for obtaining images of wounds and stoma, comprising at least one digital camera comprising an optical lens and a monitor functionally connected to or embedded in the camera, continuous display on the image presentation monitor within the optical lens field of view, inserting the mark into the presentation of the said view field on the monitor before storing the image, wherein said mark is created in digital form by handheld device processing unit for obtaining images of wounds and stomata based on digital image processing within the field of vision, wherein said digital image processing is performed repeatedly for continuous identification of area of interest within the field of view and for updating and controlling the position of the mark in response to movement of the camera relative to the wound region, stoma, fistula or plates, wherein said mark is intended to assist a user when placing a digital camera relative to a wound area, stoma, fistula or plates in order to capture the wound area, skin area surrounding stoma or fistula, or plate region of interest, patient holding pocket device for obtaining images of wounds and stomata in a certain position relative to his / her own body or relative to the plate, in which the wound, stoma, fistula or plate are within optical lens optical field, wherein the monitor is simultaneously visible to the patient, receiving a user input in the pocket device for obtaining images of wounds and stoma in order to perform digital preservation of image in said field of vision, storing an image in a nonvolatile memory of a handheld device for obtaining images of wounds and stoma. Pocket device for obtaining images of wounds and stoma comprises at least one digital camera, input device and nonvolatile memory for image storage.

EFFECT: use of inventions makes it possible to provide sufficient quality for further study of user-recorded image.
