FIELD: manufacturing technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal forming and can be used in production of high-pressure seamless steel balloons. A balloon with a bottom having an internal reinforcing ledge is formed, and a through hole is drilled in the named ledge. Balloon is formed by stages. At the first stage, back extrusion is used to produce a semi-finished workpiece with a bottom having a final thickness of the bottom of the balloon and a wall whose thickness exceeds the final thickness of the balloon wall. A shaped pushing head with an external diameter and a matrix with an internal diameter which exceed the final dimensions of the balloon are used. Pushing head has recess on outer surface to produce inner reinforcing balloon ledge. At the next stage of molding, the semi-finished workpiece is back extruded by means of a monolithic puncheon made with a shaped end with a recess. Note here that steel balloon bottom is calibrated.
EFFECT: possible to obtain balloons having wide operational capabilities.
