SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of panel-like molded article. Billet is pressed to produce intermediate molded article. Intermediate molded article is heated. Molding of intermediate molded article is performed, at that, hot forming machine is used, which includes first matrix, second matrix, puncheon and billet holder. Intermediate molded article is clamped in said machine between first matrix puncheon, and second matrix and billet holder are moved relative to first matrix and puncheon to produce panel-shaped molded article.

EFFECT: result is reduced number of cracks, folds and other defects on article.
