FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of stainless steel seamless high-pressure cylinder from stainless steel. Method involves coating (2) of liquid glass with thickness of 20–150 mcm on a stainless steel workpiece (1), curing at temperature of 15–60 °C and heating in an induction furnace to temperature of 1180 to 1260 °C. Heated workpiece (1) without cooling by crushing scale is moved into extrusion press where it is pressed, wherein coating (2) is broken and largely removed. Then drawing is performed in horizontal drawing press and neck is formed. After the balloon is molded to the final shape, coating residues (2) are removed by jet treatment. Thin-wall seamless high-pressure cylinder made from stainless steel with volume from 5 to 260 liters is made.
EFFECT: technical result is higher strength of balloon.
