SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to means of automatic configuration of automation devices. To this end, a method of automatically configuring a remote indicator, which includes a step of placing a remote indicator within range of action of radio communication on short distances of operating field device. Configuration information is wirelessly transmitted between the remote indicator and the field device. Remote indicator is connected to receive information on the process. Process information is received and displayed on a remote indicator display device. There is also a field device and a remote indicator.
EFFECT: technical result is configuration of remote indicator associated with operating field device.
