SUBSTANCE: device for fixation of lid on dishware relates to the field of household goods, and more specifically to dishware. Device for fixing the lid on the dishware serves for manual or automatic fixation of the lid on the dishware and sealing of the dishware connection with the lid. Device for fixation of cover on dishware consists of housing and locking device. Housing is made in the form of an open contour, repeating the shape of the perimeter of the outer rim of the utensils, has a connector made in the form of a sector cutout throughout the height of the housing. Housing cross-section is an open contour, the housing edges are interconnected by a casing having a cross-section in the form of an open contour, by one end fixed by means of an axis from one edge of the device housing, and by another end fixed by means of axis, capable to move in elongated hole made from opposite edge of housing. Between the edges of the housing there is an element made of material capable of reversibly changing its length at temperature change, and in the inner space of the housing along the perimeter there is a sealing gasket made from elastic material.

EFFECT: use of this device will allow reducing injuries by reducing the number and severity of burns during preparation of hot dishes, as well as heating previously prepared.
