FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to tool production of machine building and is intended for manufacture of tooth-socket of circular drawing on automated equipment. Proposed method comprises roughing and finishing of cutter with curvilinear cutting edge. Note here that roughing is performed by moving cutter to draw axis. Roughing and finishing of one side of tooth recess are performed simultaneously by continuous movement of cutter to drawing axis, which main cutting edge has constant radius curvature from 0.7 to 1.0 mm - minimum radius of tooth recess along trajectory, which repeats curvature of side of cavity, and with feed decreasing from maximum at beginning of processing to zero at end of treatment. Then, the second side of the recess is finished - by moving the cutter from the drawing axis with constant feed and along the trajectory repeating the curvature of the second side of the recess.
EFFECT: result is exclusion of probability of occurrence of vibrations of process system in process of making tooth-root of round drawing and higher efficiency of process excluding idle moves of tool.
