FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: method includes the slots machining by ram milling. Preliminary the cavity between crowns is worked out, green turning is performed, and finish turning is performed by antivibration mill with side cutting surfaces. During finish turning initially all teeth of top crown, and then of the bottom crown are machined. The diameter of the mill cutting part is selected as maximum close to the minimum radius of profile of cavity between the teeth. Permanent distance is provided from the place of securing to the cutting place on both top, and bottom crowns. During each tooth cutting the cutting curve is divided to sections, each of them is characterized by own radius of curvature. At each section the own cutting mode is set depending on the radius of curvature and distance of the passed cutting path and movement path of the mill axis. The mill movement is executed with return to the partially machined surface till creation of the shoulders with same height. During calculation of the mill feed at each section the feed is changed in comparison with straight section by value of changed coefficient.
EFFECT: increased accuracy of double sprocket manufacturing.
