SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a computer-implemented method of locating a terminal device. Method comprises steps of: receiving a request regarding the location of a terminal device; identifying available location sources, which are available for providing location information for a terminal device; selecting a combination of available location sources based on the rank of the corresponding location sources; setting a target geographical area for the location of the terminal device by using the geographic overlapping area and excluding the geographical area of non-coverage from said combination of available location sources. Method comprises: determining a first location of a terminal device using a first location source from said combination of location sources, determining second location of terminal device using second, other location source from said combination of available location sources and setting target geographic area, using geographic coverage area and excluding geographical area of non-coverage, from first location and second location; and determining the location of the terminal device using the target geographical area.
EFFECT: technical result consists in provision of location of terminal device.
