FIELD: environmental parameters monitoring.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method, system and computer-readable medium for monitoring environmental parameters to track the position of hikers and provide them with assistance. The system comprises an intelligent environment comprising an intelligent environment notifier located at a first location that operates to provide a security goal for the first location; and detect the first user at the first location; and create sensor data and user identification data that is indicative of detecting the first user at the first location; a smart device located at a first location that is used by the first user, where the smart device does not have access to the data network except as provided by the environment smart notifier; a monitoring terminal located at a second location different from the first location, the monitoring terminal being used by the second user and operating to receive the first presence alert; and receive the first emergency alert; and provide information input by the second user, confirming the receipt of the first emergency alert; to provide communication with the first user via the data transmission channel established with the intelligent device by means of an intelligent notifier of external conditions; a computing system operable to receive generated data from the environment smart notifier; analyze at least a portion of the received data to determine that the first user is located at the first location; and based on the determination that the first user is located at the first location, generate a first presence alert for the first user; and registering the generated first presence alert; and transmitting the generated first presence announcement to the monitoring terminal; and analyze at least a portion of the received data to determine that an emergency alert should be generated; and based on the determination that an emergency alert is to be generated, generate a first emergency alert for the first user; and transmit the generated first emergency alert to the monitoring terminal; and receive information input by the second user from the monitoring terminal; and parsing at least a portion of the received information entered by the second user to determine that the second user acknowledges receipt of the first emergency alert; and based on the determination that the second user acknowledges receipt of the first emergency alert, create a communication channel through the environment smart notifier between the first user using the smart device and the second user using the monitoring terminal.
EFFECT: improving the reliability of emergency alerts.
