FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to laser welded steel section. Steel profile (1) obtained by laser welding comprises flange (4) and flange (3a, 3b). Both elements are made from steel sheet, equivalent carbon content in which is not less than 0.075 and not more than 0.15 and is expressed by formula: C_eql = C+(Si/50) + (Mn/25) + (P/2) + (Cr/25) + Ti. Welded part (2) of profile is the place of connection of flange (4) and flange (3a, 3b), its hardness is at least 1.2 times and not more than 4 times higher than hardness of steel sheet. Weld part (2) projection length does not exceed 1 mm.

EFFECT: profile is characterized by excellent strength.
