FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a press quenching method for producing a part from carbon steel sheet, a part obtained using said method and use of said part for making an automotive vehicle. Said method involves the following steps: obtaining carbon steel sheet with a barrier coating containing nickel and chromium, wherein the weight ratio of Ni/Cr ranges from 1.5 to 9, cutting of carbon steel sheet with applied coating for billet production, billet thermal treatment, billet transfer into press die, hot molding of billet for part production, part is cooled to obtain microstructure in steel, which is martensite or martensite-bainitic or formed from at least 75 % equiaxed ferrite, 5–20 % of martensite and bainite in amount of less than or equal to 10 %.
EFFECT: obtaining part from carbon steel sheet, in which hydrogen adsorption into sheet carbon steel is prevented.
