FIELD: military equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to armored structures and can be used in making protective structures or armored vehicles. Essence of the invention is that the disclosed device increases ballistic characteristics of the obstacle by dissipating energy of the shock wave in a heterogeneous medium based on solid and soft materials, at that, during fabrication of the article, the soft material has a larger size along the perimeter than the solid material required for additional disturbance of the shock wave motion. During indenter penetration into solid material area, time of shock wave propagation in heterogeneous structure of unequal size is increased, due to which indenter loses high energy than at overcoming homogeneous structure or dissimilar structure of equal size. Enlarged perimeter of soft material does not include solid element. Solid materials are inextricably connected with soft materials due to binding material on special equipment.
EFFECT: high reliability of protection with minimum dimensions of the obstacle.
