FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the continuous steel casting. Device for continuous casting of rectangular steel ingots comprises intermediate ladle (1), crystalliser with wide (11) and narrow (12) facets and hollow-bottom cylindrical submersible discharge teeming nozzle (2). Pouring cup is made with eccentrically arranged vertical outlets (4) made at an angle β= 3–8° to vertical axis, and bottom (7), made with outer surface tapered at an angle β1= 3–8° to vertical axis. Outlet holes on the inner tapered surface of the shell are made at a distance h from the beginning of conicity, wherein d/h = 5–7, where d is the diameter of the central channel of the pouring nozzle. Walls of outlet holes are narrowed to the bottom part of the cup at an angle γ= 20–30°.
EFFECT: higher quality of continuously cast blanks due to stability of steel mixing in horizontal plane of crystallizer.
