FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: device contains intermediate ladle, ingot-forming equipment with wide and narrow verges, closed-bottom cylindrical immersion nozzle with off-centered vertical outlet ports. In nozzle it is implemented agitation chamber and in outlets of nozzle there are installed insertions made of wear-resistant against washing out by liquid steel material. Inner diametre "d₁" and external diametre "d₂" of nozzle, diametre "d₃" of agitation chamber, height "h₀" and width "b" of outlet holes of nozzle are related by ratio d₃/d₁=1.15-1.25; d₂/d₃=1.6-1.9; π·d₃ ²/8·b·h₀=1.03-1.1. For installation of outlet holes under angle 2-10° to wide verges of ingot-forming equipment in top part of nozzle there are implemented centering hollows. Melt is fed into ingot-forming equipment through outlet holes of nozzle in the form of jets directed by specified trajectory into the side of wide verges.

EFFECT: expansion of assortment of poured flat steel ingots and improvement of its quality.
