FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to methods and apparatus for regenerating adsorbents using electromagnetic radiation of the microwave range and can be used in chemical, oil refining and other industries. Method of zeolite regeneration includes action on zeolite, located in working chamber, electromagnetic field of microwave range using source of microwave energy. UHF effect is performed in pulsed mode with energy supplied to sorbent determined from ratio , where P – power of microwave energy source, W, τ is UHF exposure time, s; wherein power P of microwave energy source for one sorbent heating cycle is determined from the ratio: 0.1≤P/c·m≤0.3, where c is heat capacity of water, m is mass of water contained in sorbent. Device for regeneration of zeolite includes a source of microwave energy, working chamber for arrangement of zeolite, waveguide with matching device, connecting source of microwave energy and working chamber.

EFFECT: invention provides higher rate of regeneration of zeolite with reduction of moisture content in adsorbent to 3–4 % without its destruction and with preservation of adsorbing properties.
