FIELD: pipeline equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to pipeline fittings and can be used in the design of ball valves intended for blocking the flow of the working medium in gas main and process pipeline systems. The valve contains a housing with inlet and outlet holes and a spindle connected to a handle having a 90° rotation angle and a pin. A U-shaped bracket is installed on the pin with the possibility of rotation, on the middle part of which there is a protrusion that interacts with a groove made at the end of the handle and with one of the two grooves made on the valve body. In this case, the grooves made on the crane body are mutually perpendicular.
EFFECT: invention is aimed at providing the possibility of locking the ball valve spindle in two positions, “Open”, “Closed”, by introducing a U-shaped bracket mounted on a pin with the possibility of rotation, which allows to increase the safety of the ball valve by eliminating unauthorized movement (rotation) of the spindle.
