FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to gravity concentration of minerals and can be used in non-ferrous, ferrous metallurgy and other industries when enriching ores with minerals of different density. Method of centrifugal separation includes consecutive supply of portions of initial material in form of pulp, centrifugal separation of portions with turbulence of wall layer from inside cone, separation of light fraction into tailings and unloading of heavy fraction into concentrate using flushing water. Initial material undergoes hydrocyclonage to produce sands and drain. Sands are subject to centrifugal separation with turbulisation of near-wall layer of centrifugal separator cone by hydraulic cyclone drain with circulation of light fraction during preset time of processing portion of initial feed with subsequent removal of it into tails. Unloading of heavy fraction into concentrate is performed simultaneously after processing of specified quantity of portions.
EFFECT: technical result is higher efficiency of centrifugal separation.
