FIELD: enrichment of materials.
SUBSTANCE: proposed invention relates to the gravitational enrichment of minerals and can be used in non-ferrous, ferrous metallurgy and other industries in the enrichment of ores with minerals of various densities. The method of centrifugal separation includes successive supply of portions of initial material in the form of pulp to hydrocyclone to produce drain and sands, centrifugal separation of sands with turbulization of the wall layer of the cone of the centrifugal separator with a hydro-air mixture of hydrocyclone overflow with compressed air, obtained by supplying the hydrocyclone overflow into the compressed air stream at the outlet of the turbulator nozzles with a volumetric ratio "drain:air" of not more than 1:30, circulation of the light fraction for a specified time with its subsequent removal to the tailings, one-time unloading of the accumulated heavy fraction into a concentrate with the help of wash water after processing a given number of portions of the initial feed.
EFFECT: reduced losses of high-density particles with tails.
