STATION FOR SIMULTANEOUS TESTING OF LASER FIBER AMPLIFIERS SET Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC G01M11/08 G01N21/63 G02F1/01

Abstract RU 2690706 C2

FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to automated systems for long-term testing of laser system assemblies. Invention is a station for estimating the life of a test fiber amplifier cascade, comprising a master laser for generating laser pulses, a fiber optics for transmitting laser pulses, a first preamplifier for amplifying pulses from a master laser and increasing a signal-to-noise ratio, an acoustooptical modulator for controlling pulse repetition rate, a second preamplifier for amplifying the signal to the level of the signal of one fiber amplifier from the amplification stage, third preamplifier for signal amplification to level of several fiber amplifiers from amplification cascade, splitter for dividing the signal from the third preamplifier in equal ratio and transmitting it to the tested fiber amplifiers, pumping diodes creating an inverse population in the tested fiber amplifiers, connected through the electric contacts to the current sources, power couplers with photodiodes, which serve to branch a small fraction of power to measuring photodiodes, ADC, which performs digitization of a signal from measuring photodiodes, and a transmitting signal to a computer with a control program, wherein the station includes a control card which changes parameters of the listed devices and collects data, as well as a data unit.

EFFECT: technical result consists in creating an automated station for long-term testing of fiber laser amplifiers, which enables to test up to 8 amplifiers and more simultaneously.
