FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: use: to create a gemstone signature using X-ray imaging. Summary of invention consists in the fact that method includes the following stages: installation of a gemstone in a sample holder of a visualization apparatus, wherein the imaging apparatus comprises a detector, a sample holder mounted on the sample table, an X-ray source, wherein sample holder and X-ray source are set along optical axis, wherein the sample holder is movable relative to at least one X-ray source and detector; exposing a precious stone under X-rays from an X-ray source while moving the sample holder in accordance with a search strategy which is previously determined for the gemstone based on known physical characteristics of the gemstone; using the detector to localize the diffraction spots and/or extinction generated by the crystal lattice; use of localized diffraction spots and/or extinction to calculate information on position, orientation and phase of crystals; creating a suitable X-ray diffraction scanning strategy based on the calculated information, wherein the strategy includes moving the sample holder relative to the X-ray source and the detector and exposing the gemstone under suitable X-rays as the sample holder moves, wherein strategy is created in order to localize and classify internal shortcomings in said at least one chip; scanning a gemstone in accordance with a scanning and registration strategy of diffraction and / or extinction images using a detector; and creating signature on recorded images of diffraction and/or extinction.
EFFECT: technical result is enabling possibility of accurate and reproducible obtaining of signature for gemstone, in particular, diamond, which does not require initial knowledge on setting of precious stone and which can be used to identify gemstone, consisting of very small number of crystals, even if the gemstone is polished, resected or otherwise physically changed after creating any initial signature.
