SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means of obtaining a reputation evaluation file. Reputation evaluation service can be configured to evaluate files and provide reputation of such files to clients (for example, indication as to whether the file is safe or malicious). If the reputation evaluation service receives a reputation request for a file which is unknown to the reputation evaluation service (for example, the file is not yet fully received by the reputation evaluation service), then the reputation evaluation service can identify a set of fragments to which the file can be divided. Reputation evaluation service may receive fragments from different clients, such as the first fragment from the first client and the second fragment from the second client. Such fragments can be evaluated to assign a reputation to the file. Thus, the reputation evaluation service can retrieve fragments of the file in a distributed manner for reputation evaluation.

EFFECT: technical result consists in enabling evaluation of previously unknown files.
