SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a multiplexer. Technical result is achieved by the fact that a multiplexer is proposed, which contains the following components installed in the chassis and connected via a data transmission bus and a control and signaling bus: central control module (CCM), a module of linear interfaces and a module of user interfaces, in which the module of user interfaces includes a data transmission interface and voice interfaces, and the linear interfaces module comprises at least interfaces E1 and an Ethernet interface, the CCM comprising non-volatile memory and configured to multiplex/demultiplex signals, cross-connect, control for operation with voice interfaces, data transmission interfaces and linear interfaces, providing local, network remote monitoring and administration, programmed redundancy of E1 streams, multiplexing voice interfaces and interfaces for transmitting data to E1 streams for transmission over communication lines; and each module has a separate power supply.
