FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for increasing support-coupled cross-country capacity of military track vehicles in overcoming sections of roads with low bearing capacity. Proposed method allows increasing the area of bearing surface automatically during movement of military track vehicles. Housing of military caterpillar vehicle is equipped with two drums - front and rear drums, which are installed in front and behind machine body by means of fasteners. On one of the drums there is a broading band, which is rewound from the front drum to the rear during movement of the machine along sections of roads with low carrying capacity.
EFFECT: higher bearing reliability of military track vehicles.
