SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to production of mineral wool. Method of producing moulded composite for introduction into smelting furnace, comprising preparation of mixture, into which fragments of mineral wool containing glue containing sugar are introduced, non-cement carrier based on silicon dioxide, different from wool, non-cement carrier based on alkali metal different from wool, and water, consisting in that non-cement carrier based on silicon dioxide and non-cement carrier based on alkali metal form together with water mineral binder, which gradually hardens around solid particles present in mixture, and then moulding mixture in form of moulded composite. Method of producing mineral wool, in which a molten mass is obtained, which is converted into mineral wool by means of a device for moulding fibres, where the moulded composite obtained according to any of the previous claims is introduced in the form of glass loading into the melting chamber, such as a cupola furnace. Invention is developed in dependent items of the formula.

EFFECT: technical result is improved quality of production wastes for use in production of mineral wool.
