FIELD: measuring equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of estimating the amount of near-surface gas in a gas trap. Gas flow line is installed in gas discharge line. Using a flow meter, gas is measured in surface conditions and brought to normal conditions. Temperature and pressure are measured under the same conditions, and they are also brought to normal conditions. Gas volume in the gas trap is then calculated and this value is used to determine the surface area of near-surface gas. For reclamation of near-surface gas into gas line downstream of flow meter there installed is compressor and gas is sent to reservoirs by means of flow meter. Invention makes it possible to estimate quantitatively volume of near-surface gas directly in gas trap and to recycle it for household needs.

EFFECT: technical result is determination of near-surface gas directly in gas trap and in gas utilization for household needs.
