SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a measuring technique and can be used for highly accurate determination of the resonant frequency of various types of resonators. Method of measuring the resonant frequency contains the steps of carrying out search mode of the resonant frequency, in which at each ith iteration signals are sent to the input of the resonator with frequencies of ƒi-b and ƒi+ b, which are in the range of variation of the measured resonant frequency, measure the amplitudes of the signals at the output of the resonator U′i and U′′i, corresponding to the specified frequencies, calculating the frequency ƒi + 1, and also determining the sign of the voltage difference U′′iU′i and when this sign is changed, the tracking mode for the resonant frequency is performed, in which the ƒi+1 and ƒi frequencies are compared, and if at the ith iteration the modulus of the difference of these frequencies is less than the value determined by the given measurement error of the resonant frequency, then at all subsequent iterations, the frequencies ƒi are fixed and the resonant frequency is defined as the average of these recorded frequencies.

EFFECT: technical result is improving the accuracy of measuring the resonant frequency.
