FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to dentistry, and is intended for use in diagnosing and predicting clinical course of chronic periodontitis. For prediction of clinical course of chronic periodontitis in dynamics, papillary-marginal-alveolar index is evaluated, microcirculation of periodontium tissues is analyzed by laser Doppler flowmetry, content of malondialdehyde in saliva is determined, based on the obtained clinical-laboratory data calculating index of prediction of clinical course of chronic periodontitis by formula IPCCP=(PMA2/PMA1)+(IM1/IM2)+(MDA2/MDA1), where IPCCP is index of prediction of clinical course of chronic periodontitis, PMA1 is papillary-marginal-alveolar index at current stage of observation, PMA2 is papillary-marginal-alveolar index in previous stage of observation, IM1 - indicator of microcirculation in the current stage of observation, IM2 - indicator of microcirculation in the previous stage of observation, MDA1 - content of malone dialdehyde in saliva at current stage of observation, MDA2 - content of malone dialdehyde in saliva in the previous stage of observation, wherein the value of the prediction index of clinical course of chronic periodontitis is less than 2.7 with the tendency to decrease the value indicates a low degree of probability of chronic periodontitis progression and recurrence and stating adequacy of the conducted therapy; value of index of prediction of clinical course of chronic periodontitis from 2.8 to 3.3 with tendency of decrease in value testifies to average degree of probability of chronic periodontitis progression and repeated course of conservative therapy; and the value of the prediction index of clinical course of chronic periodontitis of 3.4 and more with a tendency of increase in the value indicates a high degree of probability of the progression of chronic periodontitis, surgical treatment is conducted.
EFFECT: method, due to complex evaluation of a range of functional and metabolic characteristics of periodontium and saliva tissues, enables individual prediction of clinical course.
