FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to ophthalmology, for prevention of parietal hyperfiltration of intraocular fluid in antiglaucomatous operations with implantation of valve-type drainage Ahmed™ Glaucoma Valve implantation of valve base, insertion of a drain tube (DT) into an anterior chamber through an intrascleral canal formed by 23 Ga needle. Intrascleral canal is formed at 6 mm from the limb, and after insertion of DT into an anterior chamber and a conjunctival closure, a nasal conjunctival suture is applied, embracing the DT and capturing the sclera. DT is cut at angle of 30°.
EFFECT: method enables to prevent DT displacement, provides preventive maintenance of parietal hyperfiltration of intraocular liquid in early postoperative period, higher effectiveness of surgical intervention and reduced risk of postoperative complications.
