FIELD: medicine; ophthalmology.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to prevent scarring of the filtration cushion during antiglaucoma operations with Ahmed valve type drainage implantation. Before implanting the drain, the Ahmed valve is completely wrapped with Alloplant material. A circular sector of 110–150 degrees with a radius corresponding to the length of the body of the reversible valve is cut out of it, by making a slot in its top and putting it on the valve plate through the tube. Alloplant is fixed to the valve with two sutures from the inside.
EFFECT: prevention of excessive fibrous cap formation, intraoperative and postoperative complications, progression of glaucoma and, as a result, the need for repeated interventions.
