FIELD: radio engineering and communications.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio engineering, particularly to devices for frequency synchronization of a broadband signal in radio communication systems and cellular systems of communication with code division multiple access (CDMA). Apparatus provides a modified procedure for estimating the mismatch of the input BS and the reference signal using an interpolation algorithm for high-accuracy frequency estimation and operation of adaptive selection of optimum parameters of synchronization mode taking into account propagation channel properties. For this purpose, the frequency estimation unit includes in-series connected the ranking function and level selection unit of the decision function and the unit for high-accuracy frequency estimation, the output of which is the output of the device and is connected to the corresponding input of the control unit, one of the inputs of which is the input of an external signal for monitoring evaluation of communication channel parameters.
EFFECT: acceleration of the transient process to the frequency synchronization mode, obtaining accuracy of evaluation and compensation of the possible mismatch between the carrier frequency of the received broadband signal and the frequency of the reference signal close to the optimum value, providing invariance to the non-stationary nature of the input process and reducing hardware and software costs.
