SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to the field of production of minerals, namely to methods of beneficiation of minerals, and can be used, for example, in development of deposits of poor-quality diamond-containing ores. Method for pre-concentration of diamond-bearing ores involves preliminary determination of the value of the feature of separation of diamond-containing raw material into process grades, screening of initial raw materials, crushing and enrichment with separation. Preliminary determination of value of separation feature is carried out by sampling, quantitative analysis of content in samples of oxide phases of ore-forming, rock-forming and accompanying chemical elements-indicators. Determination of threshold values for each process grade and containing rock is carried out by X-ray radiometric separation when scanning a piece of rock on three sides. Raw material sizing is performed according to fineness classes +700 mm, -700+40 mm, -40 mm. Crushing of class -700+40 mm, additional screening and enrichment of class -100+40 mm by X-ray fluorescence separation based on separation feature is performed. Threshold value of the separation feature for the corresponding technological grades of the diamond-containing material is determined from the ratio of the characteristic group of chemical elements of the oxide groups and the diamond-alloying formation. Samples determine the content of CaO; SiO2; Fe2O3; MgO; K2O; TiO2; Cr2O3; MnO.

EFFECT: high efficiency of preconcentration and subsequent dressing of diamond-containing ores.
