FIELD: concentration of minerals, particularly, diamond-containing ores. SUBSTANCE: in recovery of diamonds from ores, prior to ore grinding, it is crushed to size exceeding diamonds sizes and located in open air in form of refuse dumps and on southern side slopes of barren rock dumps coated with protective layer, and ore is held until loss of strength of separate lumps in upper layers. Ore upper layers after loosing their strengths are periodically raked downward. Ore is ground by crushing of its lumps lost their strength by caterpillars of heavy vehicles, for instance, bulldozer ripper, with subsequent removal from ore of fine and slime fractions. Incompletely ground residue crushed by heavy ridge roller. Diamonds are recovered from ground ore by means of vibratory concentrator with screening surface. Tailings and undersize of vibratory concentrator are directed to dump. Ore surface layer on refuse and barren rock dumps is periodically sprayed at above-zero temperature of ambient air with water or water with added surfactants. EFFECT: higher quality of recovered diamonds with lower cost and simplified technology of recovery. 2 cl
