FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of transport machine building, in particular, to brake blocks of freight railway vehicles. Braking shoe includes composite friction element, in rear part of which wire carcass is pressed. Carcass is made of interconnected wide and narrow frames, having closed and non-closed parts. Unclosed parts of frames are located on half of wire carcass on side of inner side surface of shoe. End parts of each lateral element, which corresponds to the butt end surface of the shoe, are directed to the inner side surface of the shoe. In zones of conjugation of closed and unclosed parts of frames end parts of side elements directed to inner side surface of shoe are applied on end parts of side elements directed to end side surface of shoe, from side of working surface of shoe at wide frame, and from side of rear surface of shoe at narrow frame.
EFFECT: achieving operational strength of the shoe not only in the initial condition, but also in a state of wear close to the maximum allowable value.
