FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of transport machine building, in particular, to brake blocks of freight railway vehicles. Braking shoe includes composite friction element, in rear part of which wire frame is pressed. Frame is made of interconnected wide and narrow frames, having closed and unclosed parts. Unclosed parts of frames are located on half of wire frame on side of inner side surface of shoe. End parts of each lateral element, which corresponds to the butt end surface of the shoe, are directed to the inner side surface of the shoe. In the zones of conjugation of the closed and unclosed parts of the frames, the end parts of the side elements directed to the inner side surface of the shoe are applied on the end parts of the side elements directed towards the end side surface of the shoe, on the side of the working surface of the shoe at the narrow frame, and on the side of the rear surface of the shoe wide frame.
EFFECT: achieving operational strength of the shoe not only in the initial condition, but also in a state of wear close to the maximum allowable value.
