FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to aerohydrodynamics. Method for suction of boundary layer and solid medium is achieved by application of depressions on streamlined surface of relief, slopes and concave smooth bottom of which have curvilinear surfaces of rotation, which is formed by line of involute of flow lines of centripetal quasipotential tornado-shaped jets described by exact solutions of Navier-Stokes equations and continuity. Surface for suction of boundary layer of solid medium in channels of bodies transporting solid medium, including, subject to heating or cooling, relative to which either gaseous, liquid or two-phase medium moves, is characterized by that on surfaces smoothly contacting with solid medium and initially smooth surfaces in state of relative motion, there is a relief of recesses, the surface of rotation of which has as a line generatrix an evolvent of current lines of secondary swirled jets. Recesses are mated with the initially smooth surface or, conditionally, by sharp edges, or by convex smooth slopes representing a part of the toroid surface, and have common tangents on the interface lines.

EFFECT: reduced aerohydrodynamic losses at relative movement of surface for suction of boundary layer and solid medium.
