FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering, namely to a positive electrode for an alkaline storage battery, which includes a positive electrode substrate and a positive electrode composite material, which is provided on at least one surface of the positive electrode substrate. Accumulator with such positive electrode can be used, for example, for hybrid vehicle with plug contact or electric vehicle. Positive electrode substrate comprises Ni-foil or Ni-clad steel foil, positive electrode composite material comprises positive electrode active material, wherein active material of positive electrode contains nickel hydroxide coated with cobalt oxyhydroxide. Specific weight of composite material of positive electrode relative to one surface of substrate of positive electrode is equal to 0.02–0.035 g/cm2.
EFFECT: reduced internal resistance of accumulator is technical result of invention.
