FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method increase of total output of xylenes in complex production of aromatic hydrocarbons. Method includes the following stages: separating the aromatic hydrocarbon-enriched reforming product into a first hydrocarbon stream containing C7- hydrocarbons, a second hydrocarbon stream containing C8-C10 aromatic hydrocarbons, and third hydrocarbon stream containing C10+ aromatic hydrocarbons; isomerisation of a second stream of hydrocarbons containing C8-C10 aromatic hydrocarbons, to form isomerisation product stream C8-C10; passing isomerisation product stream C8-C10 into a naphthene hydrocarbon dehydrogenation zone to obtain a stream of products of the dehydrogenation region of naphthene hydrocarbons; separation of product stream of dehydrogenation zone of naphthene hydrocarbons into first stream of products of dehydrogenation zone of naphthene hydrocarbons containing C7- hydrocarbons, and a second stream of products of the dehydrogenation region of naphthene hydrocarbons containing C8+ aromatic hydrocarbons; and passing a second stream of products of the dehydrogenation region of naphthene hydrocarbons containing C8+ aromatic hydrocarbons, to xylene extraction section or transalkylation zone.
EFFECT: use of the disclosed method increases output of para-xylene.
