FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention can be used in inorganic chemistry. To obtain bismuth lactate, bismuth oxide is treated with aqueous solution of lactic acid at temperature of 50–70 °C, molar ratio of lactic acid to bismuth 2.1–3.5 and weight ratio of liquid to solid 2.1–4.0. Obtained paste is washed with acetone or ethyl alcohol or isopropyl alcohol and dried at temperature of 60–100 °C.
EFFECT: invention simplifies production of bismuth lactate, increases degree of extraction of bismuth into end product up to 99,7 %.
