FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to construction, in particular to a device for destroying icicles from a roof. Device for icicles destruction contains electrodes in the form of two bare wires from the corresponding material, fixed on dielectric brackets along the roof edge and having possibility of frosting with ice during icicles formation. When generating icicles, a pulse current generator is connected to the electrodes and high-voltage electric discharges are performed between the electrodes in the ice medium, thereby destroying the icicles along the roof edge.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of icterus discharge combined with reduction of power inputs, simplified design.
