FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to tests of power units, for example transformers, in which energy is accumulated in inductor. Test device (10) comprises a terminal electrically connected to the test sample by a nondestructive method, controlled unit (35) for reduction of current in inductor (71) of test sample, controller (20) for control of controlled unit (35). Controlled unit (35) includes amplifier (36). Controller is configured to activate controlled unit when energy accumulated in inductor must be reduced. Test device is configured to reduce the energy accumulated in the inductor through the controlled unit amplifier to reduce current intensity. Energy flows from test sample through terminal to test device.
EFFECT: technical result is possibility of fast reduction of current intensity in test specimen inductor in simple and compact manner.
