FIELD: military equipment.

SUBSTANCE: method of ranging aerial targets (AT) aking into account their limits of attainability and the radii of destruction of their aviation weapons of destruction (AWD). Essence of the invention consists in additionally determining the type of the AT, the type of its AWD, calculating the area of use of the AWD on the covered defense objects and the accessibility zone of the AT, area of intersection of zone of application of AWD and accessibility zone of AT for fuel is calculated, probability of potential attack of covered defense objects is determined and IP is ranked. Method consists in the fact that at known types (classes) of the AT and their standard combat load it makes it possible to estimate the degree of danger of each AT for the defended facilities on the basis of analysis of areas of intersection of reachability zones of the AT on fuel and circular zones of the protected objects.

EFFECT: high reliability of ranging of the AT.
